A Wedding Story

“They’re not just life savers, they’re wedding savers.”

Every woman dreams of her father walking her down the aisle on her wedding day. When Skye’s father, Grant, was unexpectedly admitted to Mosaic Life Care the day of her wedding, she could see that dream disappearing in front of her eyes.

Our caregivers couldn’t bear to see their patient or his family so heartbroken on such a special day. So they went out of their way to arrange a ceremony at the hospital chapel, allowing Grant to watch his daughter get married.

The Difference is Life Care

At Mosaic Life Care, our commitment to patients doesn’t just stop at high-quality health care — it’s our dedication to life care that sets us apart in everything we do.

“A lot of what we do is more than just health care. . . . We have to take care of every aspect. That includes family. That includes their life when they’re outside of our four walls. That’s what makes them better. A lot of times their medicines aid it — but it’s peace of mind, it’s happiness and it’s quality of life.”

-Melissa Farris, APRN

Why we go Above and Beyond

Our passion for going the extra mile for our patients is more than just a dedication to our life-care model. Mosaic Life Care caregivers view each patient as a person — not a number or a list of symptoms on a chart. And we know that a little empathy goes a long way, allowing us to treat each patient with the kindness and respect they deserve.

“We’re all daughters, and we’re all wives, and we know exactly what it’s like to be there on your wedding day — thinking about who will walk you down the aisle. . . . How could we not help her? That’s what we’re here for. We’re here to help. And yes, maybe most of the time it’s my medical expertise that I’m bringing to the table, but this was something I could do that was the right thing and was going to help the patient.”

“It’s something I’ll remember for all of my life. These caregivers — they’re amazing people, and they’re amazing caregivers, and they do amazing work. They not only saved my dad’s life, but they saved my wedding day and I’m so forever grateful for that. I don’t know how to be more appreciative of them.”
