The Neurosurgery Department at Heartland Regional Medical Center (HRMC) features state-of-the-art technology for neurosurgery, performing procedures such as craniotomy (generally for tumor or trauma). The team, led by a neurosurgeon, is dedicated to providing quality care to Heartland's patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week. HRMC uses the latest Stealth Guided imaging systems allowing minimally invasive procedures.

Spinal surgery is perhaps the most common neurologic surgery performed by the Neurosurgery Team at Heartland. These surgeries include, but are not limited to:
