Hypercholesterolemia

Overview

High cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia) is high amounts of the waxy substance (cholesterol) found in fats in the blood. It can limit blood flow, increasing risk of heart attack or stroke.

Symptoms

There are no symptoms. It's detected by a blood test.

Treatments

Treatments include medications, a healthy diet, and exercise.
