Reiter's syndrome


Overview

Reactive arthritis is joint pain and swelling triggered by an infection in another part of the body.

Symptoms

Symptoms include joint pain and stiffness, most commonly in the knees, ankles, and feet. Eye inflammation and increased frequency or discomfort during urination may also occur.

Treatments

If needed, treatment may include physical therapy and medication, including anti-inflammatories or corticosteroids.
