Scabies


Overview

Scabies is a skin condition caused by a burrowing mite. Scabies is contagious and spreads quickly through close physical contact in a family, school, or nursing home.

Symptoms

It leads to intense itching in the area of its burrows.

Treatments

It's treated by killing the mites and their eggs with medication applied from the neck down and left on for 8 hours.
