Mosaic Life Care provides in-patient cancer treatment and management in our 2 South oncology unit. 2 South is staffed by two oncology-dedicated hospitalists and oncology certified registered nurses who have received specialized training in the administration of chemotherapy medications and cancer care. The caregivers on 2 South work very closely with a pharmacist and a social worker to provide complete care to each patient receiving treatment.
The goal of in-patient cancer care is to get the patients back on their journey, so we focus on what goals our patients have set for themselves and make every effort to help each patient reach their goals. Every patient has a very specific and personalized plan of care that is created to achieve the best possible outcome for that patient.
We center our in-patient care on making our patients comfortable, and we encourage the patients as well as their family and friends to ask questions and be involved in the treatment plan.
